Buying Wine

Our first day we decided to have a relaxed, non-driving day. After our one of many croissant breakfasts we decided to find a supermarket. And we found Hyper-U. Now we bought some meat, fish and water etc but our priority was find wine. And we did. We bought a selection of prices of wine from €1.50 to €4.00. In this we included a bottle of Saumur Brut for old times sake. And actually all wines were good or at least drinkable. So we ate some pain and cheese and stumbled over to the beach. A 10-minute walk tent door to water edge (15 if its hot). Very sun burnt later we tested the wine. This was an experiment that we put all our effort into.

The next day we arrived in Beziers. A lovely little town with very typical French style winding streets, bars etc. Due to a bit of a late arrival we only had time to visit the lovely cathedral before the whole town shut down for lunch. And at 30 degrees plus I don't blame them. So we had no choice but to go back to the campsite, go back to the beach and then drink some more win...sorry I mean continue our serious experiment. Unfortunately by this time our coal BBQ had been banned due to the fact we could possibly kill ourselves using it so we had to, were forced to, buy pizza and frites from the campsite takeaway. This had a very peculiar effect on me and I ended up farting a couple of times (this is a fact I am only admitting to allow me to embarrass Helen and Lukas). At one point Helen stumbled to the toilet block (I'd say a minute stumble) and WARNING sci-fi scare number two encountered a family orderly queuing for the sink in order to wash their hands that she had no choice but to believe our campsite had been infiltrated by the Midwich cuckoos. The scene they left at the sink turned out to be a mosquito graveyard so no complaints yet. I believe I am still alive.
